Pinakabagong programa ng Radyo Natin Guimba na magpapakilala sa mga kumakandidatong pulitiko sa Bayan ng Guimba at lalawigan ng Nueva Ecija. Ito ay bahagi pa rin ng panawagan sa taong bayan ng bigyan dangal ang boto ngayong halalan.
Ipapakilala ng panauhing pulitiko ang kaniyang sarili at ihahayag ang mga usaping pambayan na nais nitong talakayin, gayundin ang kaniyang plata porma de gubyerno. Ang mga nakikinig ay hinihikayat namang makilahok sa pamamagitan ng pagpapadala ng text messages para graduhan kung "good", "better' o "best" ang pagtalakay ng panauhing pulitiko.
WHO WE WILL VOTE FOR MAYOR OF GUIMBA?
Your program interviewing all the political candidates for Mayor of Guimba was extraordinary. WOW! Congratulations! It was a very nice show.
We, the voters have learned, at least the true character and idiosyncrasy of each of the candidates.
Some of the candidates are not ANALYTICAL and sharp in understanding and answering the questions.
But, some of the candidates are real HONEST and STRAIGHTFORWARD in answering the questions.
So, who among the four candidates for Mayor are we going to vote for? Let our CONSCIENCE, LOGICAL MIND and JUST HEART decide.

Would you please publish all the names of the political candidates, from the position of the GOVERNOR down to the position of a Municipal Councilor in Guimba. Just re-group them in their own political parties.
This information is very important to every voter in Guimba.
INTERVIEW OF FARMERS (AN OBSERVATION)
Your interview of the sector of farmers was a big revelation: THAT FARMERS ARE INTELLIGENT PEOPLE TOO!
That Barangay Captain who spoke of anomalies in his jurisdiction was indeed, a man of principle and conviction. He was so courageous to question the non-action and refusal of the Municipal Council to help him in his problem in his Barangay. MORE POWER TO HIM! MAY HIS TRIBE INCREASE! We need public servants like him.
Political candidates should listen to the gripes and problems of our farmers, for they are important segment of our community.
INTERVIEW OF SENIOR CITIZENS AND TODA (AN OBSERVATION)
Your interview with the Senior Citizens was very REVEALING. The issues and problems that they discussed were very valid and important. More power to all of them!
Your interview with the TODA officer was INFORMATIVE. We have learned a lot about the problems of Tricycle drivers in Guimba.
The political candidates will learn a great lesson from these interviews of the different sectors of our community. They should always listen to your Radio Station or through the Internet.
INTERVIEW OF MAYOR BOYITO DIZON (AN OBSERVATION)
Your family name has a history of prominent public servants and known educators in Guimba.
You have a CLEAN family background.
Your past projects and accomplishments are worthy of praise.
Your performance in your interview was outstanding. You are WELL-PREPARED.
Your interview shows that you are good in PLANNING.
Your interview shows that you aspire to be an ACHIEVER.
WRONG TIMING!
Your proposed plan to build a Community Hospital is WRONG TIMING. We cannot build municipal projects and infrastructures during or near an election. It is IMPROPER! The timing is wrong. There is no rush.
The salaries of some municipal employees were increased recently. WRONG TIMING again! You cannot raise the salaries, during or near an election. It is INAPPROPRIATE! The timing is wrong.
INTERVIEW OF MR. ANGHEL SANTOS (AN OBSERVATION)
Your popular surname is a legendary family name of past successful politicians and public officials in Guimba and Nueva Ecija in general.
Your platform of government is admirable. You really did your homework. VERY PREPARED!
Your discussion of the proposed Community Hospital was very revealing, compared to the other candidate's stand on this issue. You have an ANALYTICAL MIND.
Your interview had shown that you are FRANK, STRAIGHT-FORWARD and HONEST. We admire those desirable traits of yours. You will be a potential HONEST Mayor!

INTERVIEW OF MR. TITO ESTEBAN (AN OBSERVATION)
Your being a Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus shows that you are a potential LEADER. Only the few, only the chosen, only the most qualified member becomes the Grand Knight. Your charitable projects and community service in the Knights of Columbus show your HUMANITARIAN CHARACTER and ADMINISTRATIVE SKILLS.
There are very few political candidates that are members or leaders of their civic or fraternal organizations. You are one of the few! That will only show that you are ACTIVE in PUBLIC SERVICE, unlike many of the political candidates.
Political Science and Law are your educational backgrounds. These specialized college courses are, indeed very fit for the job of a Councilor, doing legislative work inside the Municipal Council.
I was disappointed however, that you did not do your homework about your platform of government. Can you not think of MORE projects or problems to be solved in your town. Think, think, think!
We do not want to hear useless, senseless, general or broad FLOWERY STATEMENTS from any political candidate. Just quickly enumerate the SPECIFIC issues or projects to be accomplished.
CAN YOU FIGHT FOR PRESS FREEDOM?
As a candidate for Councilor, and because of your educational background, can you promise to us, that you will fight for PRESS FREEDOM inside the Municipal Council? THAT YOU WILL NOT REFUSE, STOP OR CENSOR THE PRESS OR MEDIA, WHENEVER OR WHEREVER THEY WANT TO ATTEND OR COVER YOUR MEETINGS? Can you promise to us?
INTERVIEW OF DR. FELIX LUMANG (AN OBSERVATION)
You came to your interview WELL PREPARED. You really did your homework.
Because you are a doctor by profession, you are not a TRAPO (Traditional Politician). That is a big plus for you. Physicians are INTELLIGENT kind of people.
I was fascinated how fast you talk. You are like a MACHINE GUN. You talk and act like an experienced politician.
Your bio-data and family background are exemplary.
Your platform of government is excellent. There were many important issues that you discussed. I admired your idea to eradicate GRAFT and CORRUPTION.
As a whole, your interview shows that you have the CHARACTER and ATTITUDE to become a CLEAN Mayor.
As a whole, your interview had SUBSTANCE.
RUNNING WITHOUT A VICE-MAYOR?
Is it true that Dr. Felix Lumang is running for Mayor, without a Vice-Mayor in his own political party?
If this is true, how can he UNITE or unify the whole municipality of Guimba, if elected as Mayor, if today, while still a candidate for Mayor, he cannot even ORGANIZE or COMPLETE his own political party or ticket?
Where is his MACHINERY as a strong leader? Where is his ORGANIZATIONAL skills as an administrator? Where is UNITY inside his own political party?
We cannot ride in an airplane, where there is only one main pilot. We always need a VICE or ASSISTANT pilot.

"FRIENDS OF RADYO NATIN GUIMBA" FINALLY ORGANIZED
On March 5, 2010, the online e-mail group named, FRIENDS OF RADYO NATIN GUIMBA was formally organized and founded.
Filipinos by nature are very shy and hate personal commitments, so I do not know how many will join our informal Internet Association. I have observed that there are many people around the world surfing your Radio Station's website. So, the success of our group depends upon the number of Guimbanians who will join and participate. Let us wait and see.
Joining our group is free. No membership fee and no contributions. It is a non-stock, non-profit, informal Association. Our Organization is only a means for us to communicate easily with each other through the Internet. This will be a FORUM for all Guimbanians. Our main purpose is to help Radyo Natin Guimba in its projects and activities, because we believe in the power and importance of the Press or Media in every community. We love our own beloved town, Guimba!
Membership in our group is not only for Guimbanians around the world. We accept also other friends and supporters of our Radio Station from other towns and provinces.

As a guest political observer, Mr. Wilmer Andrada had shown his intelligence in enumerating the issues and problems in Guimba, Nueva Ecija.
His ideas are very timely and important. He will be a good political consultant. If he is not an American citizen, he is very qualified to run for Mayor of Guimba next time. SAYANG!
In reality, we lack many intelligent, educated and qualified candidates in every election. SAYANG!
SINGING A SONG BY A CANDIDATE
Singing a song by a candidate is NOT an effective way to get the votes of intelligent voters.
Public service is NOT a singing contest.
THE INTERVIEW OF MR. ARTEMIO DE DIOS (AN OBSERVATION)
His being retired is a big advantage for him, for he got plenty of time now to help and serve his townmates.
His idea of creating COOPERATIVES is admirable.
A candidate who had worked for twenty years in the government, surely had a lot of EXPERIENCE to share in public service.
THE INTERVIEW OF DR. RICHARD MALIWAT (AN OBSERVATION)
Compared to the other candidates, this is the first time that a candidate will state his membership in civic and fraternal organizations. That will only show that he wants to VOLUNTEER himself for COMMUNITY SERVICE. That will only show that he is a CIVIC-MINDED person. That he is a PUBLIC SERVICE- ORIENTED person.
So, to the future candidates to be interviewed, please enumerate also your membership in any civic, business, religious or fraternal associations or organizations.
Dr. Richard Maliwat had enumerated his past projects and accomplishments. ACCOMPLISHMENTS and EXPERIENCE are big advantage for a candidate.
So, to the future candidates to be interviewed, please enumerate also your past projects and accomplishments or your future projects to be accomplished.
THE INTERVIEW OF MR. JUN LACSON (AN OBSERVATION)
The future candidates to be interviewed in your program will learn a great lesson from the interview of Mr. Jun Lacson. The candidates should emulate how Mr. Jun Lacson discussed his issues, problems, projects and platform of government, not in broad general terms, but specifically enumerated them in a proposed resolution, ordinance or law. This is the correct way how to discuss the issues. BE SPECIFIC. DO NOT GENERALIZE your answers.
Every candidate should enumerate his or her proposed SPECIFIC resolution or ordinance for the good of the people of Guimba. There are so many problems, so why cannot they think of these issues? Why?
The following are my examples of SPECIFIC issues, problems, projects or platform of government that a candidate can discuss:
1. Curfew for Children after 9 P.M.

9. Proper Disposition and Collection of Garbage
10. Placing of Street Names In Every Barangay
11. Removal of Illegal Humps in Streets
12. Issuance of Fine for Private Houses with Dirty Front Street Spaces
13. Establishment of Playgrounds for Children
14. Placing of Street Numbers in Every House
15. The Cleaning and Sweeping of Streets To Maintain Cleanliness

PLEASE SPECIFY YOUR PLATFORM OF GOVERNMENT
Just a point of observation. Most of the candidates that you are interviewing are discussing broad and general issues and problems. They do not specify the particular issue or problem and they do not specify the particular answer or solution.
Most of the candidates that you are interviewing are enumerating broad and general "platform of government." They do not specify the particular projects or services that they want to accomplish.
Please be specific in your answers. We do not need broad and general answers.
RELIGIOUS MEMBERSHIP IS IRRELEVANT
A good voter will not vote for a candidate, just because of the candidate's membership in a particular religion, religious sect or denomination.
POLITICAL PARTY IS IRRELEVANT
Political party affiliation is irrelevant in choosing the best candidate in every election. Wise voters will not vote for a candidate, just because this candidate is affiliated with a particular political party.

With appreciation, I would like to express my gratitude to all of you in Radyo Natin Guimba, in sponsoring the "Sino Ba Siya!" program. It is indeed, informative to the voters of Guimba.
ANG KANDIDATO DAPAT MAY PLATA PORMA O PLANO
Ang isang kandidato na walang programa o "plata porma de gubyerno", ay katulad ng isang karpentero na gumagawa ng bahay na hindi maganda, hindi maayos, hindi matibay at matagal magawa. Ang dahilan ay walang PLANO ang karpentero.
Kaya naman, sa lahat ng mga gawain natin sa buhay, dapat ay mayroon tayong mga PLANS, PURPOSES at OBJECTIVES.
In every endeavor, we need to have a SYSTEM in life. In order to be successful in whatever we do, we need to set our GOALS.
The Filipino's undesirable trait of "BAHALA NA" is unacceptable. PLANNING is important.

A REQUEST TO ALL CANDIDATES FOR MUNICIPAL COUNCILOR
I respectfully request that a candidate for Municipal Councilor being interviewed in your program, "Sino Ba Siya!", should state:
1. The POSITION he or she filed for candidacy;
2. The POLITICAL PARTY he or she is a member;
3. His or her MAYOR and VICE-MAYOR candidates in their political party.

WHAT IS THE MAIN JOB OF A MUNICIPAL COUNCILOR?
I would like to inform the candidates for Councilor that the main job or function of a Councilor is to MAKE or sponsor RESOLUTIONS, RULES, ORDINANCES or laws for the municipality.
So, each candidate for Councilor SHOULD state and enumerate in his or her interview with your program, "Sino Ba Siya?", the MUNICIPAL RESOLUTIONS, RULES, ORDINANCES or MUNICIPAL LAWS that he or she wants to write, make or sponsor.
There are many problems in every municipality. So, we need these ORDINANCES or LAWS to solve these problems.
Municipal Councilors are actually LAWMAKERS inside the Municipal Council.
I ask each candidate these two questions: "With your experience, knowledge and capability, are you QUALIFIED to do the job of a Municipal Councilor?"
Now, if elected: "What are the MUNICIPAL RESOLUTIONS, RULES, ORDINANCES or MUNICIPAL LAWS that you want to write, make or sponsor?"
HOW TO GRADE THE POLITICAL CANDIDATE'S INTERVIEW?
What are the criteria on how to grade the interview of the political candidates? Good? Better? Best?
I. QUALIFICATIONS AND PAST WORK EXPERIENCE - - - - - - - - - - - -30%
a. Educational attainment;
b. Profession;
c. Past exemplary jobs in the private or government sectors;
d. Seminars and Trainings that attended;
e. Accomplishments, awards, rewards or honors received on the jobs in the private or government sectors;
f. How applicable or related are the qualifications and experience of the candidate to the position.
II. PLANS, PLATFORM OR PROGRAM OF GOVERNMENT- - - - - - - - - - 25%
Do not generalize the answers. Be specific to enumerate the issues, plans, program, projects, or problems in the community that the candidate wants to be solved. Enumerate as many as the candidate can..
III. MORAL / FAMILY VALUES AND CHARACTER - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 25%
a. Family background;
b. Who are the parents, spouse and children?
c. Character, integrity and dignity;
d. Public relations;
e. Respectability and flexibility.
IV. CIVIC-MINDEDNESS, COMMUNITY SERVICE AND VOLUNTEER SERVICE - - - - - - 20%
a. Active participation in community activities, projects, and civic or holiday public celebrations;
b. Active membership in civic, fraternal or religious associations or organizations;
c. Volunteer services sacrificing time and money to the people and community.
