Greetings! I am a Guimbanian from Chicago and I've always wanted to help our kababayans who are less fortunate in life. My daughter, Maureen, and I have been contacting different charitable organizations here in the US and trying to convince them to send assistance to our kababayans. With Maureen's connections, she was able to get a share of donations (clothes, school supplies, toys, etc.) from a group called Pearls with a Purpose with Wendy Bird as the President. The items might go out in a few weeks so if anyone from your office can e-mail me some information on where to send them and how you plan on distributing them then I can relay the message to Wendy. A quick reply will be greatly appreciated as they (Pearls with a Purpose) need to decide in the next 10 days where to send their boxes.
